My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dr. Dorothy — a gentle soul with a big heart and an even bigger appetite for love (and food)! 💚

Dr. Dorothy—affectionately known as Dr. D—is a handsome grey-and-white tabby with mesmerizing green eyes and a calm, thoughtful presence. Life didn’t start easy for him—he was abandoned and left to fend for himself before Animal Control gave him a second chance—but this resilient boy has turned that tough beginning into a story of quiet strength and affection.

Dr. D is a relaxed, affectionate cat who loves cuddles and attention. He’s happiest lounging close to his humans, basking in affection, or curling up in his favorite cat tower hideaway. He enjoys playtime (especially with toys he can bat around from his comfy perch), though sometimes finding the energy can be a challenge—once his diet and routine are steady, his playful side shines through even more.

He’s also got a charming sense of humor when it comes to food. His foster family jokes that on his second night, it looked like a “rat attack” had hit a bag of biscuits—Dr. D had helped himself! Since he’s diabetic, he’s now on a monitored diet with insulin and careful feeding routines, and he’s thriving with the right care. He may drink more water than most cats, so a fountain or regularly refreshed bowl is appreciated.

Dr. D coexists peacefully with other cats after a proper introduction and has even been spotted snuggling with a feline friend. He’s litter box trained, polite, and loves to relax in soft, cozy spots or tucked under furniture where he feels safe and snug.

Gentle, affectionate, and quietly funny, Dr. Dorothy is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a calm, loving cat with a bit of personality. He’s been waiting patiently for his forever home—could it be yours? 💕
