At this stage in life, Archie knows exactly who he is and what he wants: a calm, loving home with his favorite girl by his side. He’s the kind of guy who opens doors (metaphorically, at least), takes slow walks in the sunshine, and enjoys a good nap while keeping a watchful eye on his domain.
Archibald would be a perfect match for a lady looking for a loyal guardian with impeccable manners. He’s house trained, walks nicely on leash, and has shown gentlemanly respect to our shelter cat. With other dogs, he prefers a polite introduction and tends to gravitate toward the calm crowd, no rowdy youngsters for this refined fella.
If you’re ready to be adored by a wise, affectionate companion who’ll always have your back, Archibald is ready to take your hand and your heart. ??
Age: 8 years Mixed Breed: Treeing Cur Mix Other Dogs: Selective. Can be friends with dogs who are laid back and similar in temperament. Slow and controlled intros needed. Might do best as the only dog in his home. Cats: Friendly with cats. Kids: No children for now. Weight: 55 pounds Home Type: Active Leash Behavior: Walks nicely Known Commands: Sit, Come, Touch, Down. Knows his name. Other notes: Prefers women. House trained. Should be crate trained. Needs controlled exposure to new people and dogs. He doesn`t require a lot of exercise and isn`t a fan of frequent/new visitors at home.
