My name is Thumper!

Thumper is a 3-year-old beagle mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears! This lovable boy is the ultimate social butterfly—he adores people, dogs, and even gets along with cats. His friendly and easygoing nature makes him the perfect companion for a family looking to add some extra joy to their home.

Thumper’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. He came to us from a hoarding case where he lived in a house with at least 15 other dogs. Despite his challenging start, Thumper’s spirit has remained bright and full of love, and he’s ready to embrace a future filled with care and companionship.

Thumper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines, so he’s ready to settle into his forever home. While he’s still learning his leash manners (sometimes his enthusiasm leads to pulling), he’s making great progress thanks to our amazing volunteers who take him on daily walks.

The first step in our adoption process is submitting an application through our website. Simply visit: https://www.hoovesandpaws.org/shelterluv.html, click on the pet’s photo to view their full bio, then click “Apply for Adoption” to get started.

Please give us a few days to review your application. If approved, you’ll receive an email from adoptions@hoovesandpaws.org to schedule a meet and greet (including any necessary dog-to-dog introductions).

If the meet and greet goes well and you’d like to move forward, we’ll schedule a home check—this means we’ll bring your new furry friend to your home ourselves. This helps ensure a smooth transition and gives your new pup a familiar face upon arrival. We’ll finalize the adoption at that time!
