My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Emmie: She's a sweetheart!

Emmie is a stunning 3-year-old brown tabby with glowing yellow-green eyes, a crisp white chest, and four perfectly dipped white paws. This curious, playful girl greets you with sweet, melodic meows and will happily lean in close to be sure she gets her share of love and attention.

Emmie warms up quickly to gentle greetings and kind hands, and once she’s comfortable, her fun-loving spirit shines. She’s always on the move, hopping from one exciting “episode” to the next, keeping life lively and entertaining. While she prefers not to be held for long—there are simply too many adventures waiting—she invites you to enjoy her antics and charming independence.

Emmie is comfortable around dogs and would do best either as your one-and-only feline or with slow, thoughtful introductions to other cats, as she’s had a challenging experience with a feline in the past. With patience, understanding, and love, Emmie will blossom into a devoted companion who brings joy, personality, and warmth into your home.

Are you ready to give Emmie the loving home she deserves? She can’t wait to meet you and start her next chapter by your side.

To learn more about Emmie and to adopt, please submit an online application and an adoption coordinator will contact you!

Additional adoption info

Prior to adoption, every CARE cat/kitten has received a thorough exam from a veterinarian, has tested negative for FIV/Felv (except as otherwise noted), been spayed/neutered if old enough, microchipped, dewormed, given flea preventative, and been inoculated against distemper. Rabies vaccine is given if the feline is over 4 months. Any other desirable medical attention has also been provided. Also, each cat/kitten has spent its rescued time in a private home in foster care being loved and assessed for temperament and personality, needs, likes and dislikes.

After your approval by our volunteers, a legal contract is signed with an adoption donation attached (this donation helps defray the medical costs incurred).
The adoption fee is a Donation.
