Meet Canelo – A Strong, Playful, and Loving Boy!
Canelo is a 4-year-old red brindle American Bulldog with a heart of gold! After spending 2 years in a local municipal shelter as an owner surrender, he has learned to settle into the shelter routine, but this sweet boy is ready for a fresh start and a forever family who will give him the love and attention he deserves.
At first, Canelo might seem a bit shut down and aloof, but once you get him in the yard and let him loose, his true personality shines through! Zoomies, playing with stuffies, and showing off his playful side—he’s a happy, energetic boy once he knows he’s safe.
Canelo’s Needs:
Strong, experienced owner who will work with him on his leash manners and continue his training journey
Adult-only home or a home without small children, due to his size and natural protective instincts
A family who enjoys attending training classes—Canelo is a wonderful candidate for someone who wants to bond through learning and positive reinforcement
