My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy – Your New Adventure Buddy 🐾

Gypsy is a stunning 2-year-old red Husky with a heart as big as his smile. Once abandoned and left to survive on the streets, he hasn’t let his past dim his joy—he’s playful, loving, and always ready for the next adventure.

He’s crazy about toys, loves walks and hikes, and bonds deeply with his people. Gypsy does best with calm, compatible dogs (especially the ladies) and would thrive in an active home with a secure yard.

Gypsy's adoption fee includes:

Vaccinations:
- Rabies
- Leptospirosis
- Distemper
- Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus
- Parvovirus
- Parainfluenza
- Lyme

Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma

Deworming

Spay/Neuter

Microchipping

If a dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. All known medical information is explained prior to adoption.

All of our dogs come with a leash, collar, toy and a small bag of kibble.

At Nakoma Rescue, we put a lot of work, time, care and love into each one of these dogs. They are treated like one of our own. We are open and transparent about the dogs in our care. We want each adoption to be the right fit, for both the owners and the dog.

Additional adoption info

Browse our available dogs and apply for your new best friend today! If your application is selected as a match, you will be contacted by our Adoption Team. The meet and greet is designed for you to get to know the dog and ask questions. It is also for the dog to get to know you. If the meet and greet goes well, the next step is a home visit. At last it is time to take your new fur companion home.
