My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT CITRINE
Citrine is a sweet, shy young cat who has come a long way since arriving at HAP as an unweaned feral kitten. He was lovingly fostered by our Director of Surgery, Dr. Lohmann, who has a special talent for working with feral kittens. During his time in foster care, Citrine lived with other cats, his littermates, and even dogs—learning how to trust and feel safe. While he’s no longer feral, Citrine is still a timid little soul who needs time to warm up to new people. He truly thrives in the company of other animals and would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where he can continue to grow in confidence and feel secure. With patience and love, Citrine has the potential to blossom into a loyal and gentle companion.

**Citrine needs another cat in a home!

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
