Say Hello To Rocky! Rocky is a majestic 6-year-old German Shepherd who came to us in late 2024 after being surrendered by his owner. Previously adopted in 2020, Rocky has already given his heart to people once—and he’s ready to do so again in a home that honors who he is. He’s looking for an experienced person or family who understands the distinctive strengths, boundaries, and needs of his breed. Rocky is smart, expressive, and deeply loyal. He’s house-trained, potty-trained, and walks well on a leash when given clear guidance. He knows commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “down,” and shines brightest in environments with structure and consistency. When Rocky trusts you, he loves a good cuddle—but on his terms. He appreciates affection that is calm and respectful, rather than overwhelming. While he adores human companionship, Rocky prefers to be the only pet in the home so he can feel comfortable and secure.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit the ranch. Our website adoptions page has all of our availalbe dogs and our adoption application at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
