Sofia, aka Fia, is a 9 month old brown tabico girl with gorgeous swirls of orange and the cutest little dusting of white on the tip of her tail. Sophia is a lover - she’s the most outgoing of her litter. She will purr the minute you give her attention, is generous with head butts and leg rubs, and likes to be with her people. Sophia is also super playful- she is a graceful acrobat when she flies through the air after a string toy. She also loves to wrestle, chase, and ambush her brother Howie. Her favorite daytime activity is to test out all the best places for naps. The cat tree, the couch, a blanket, your lap, a sunbeam. She'd also love to snuggle with you at night.
Sofia has been fostered in homes with other adult cats, dogs of all sizes, and kids. She gets along with the other cats in the household well. While she has experience with kids and dogs, her ideal home is a quiet one without either, (aside from her brother) though teens and disinterested dogs would probably be fine.
Sofia is bonded to her brother Howie, so they must be adopted together. They love to wrestle and play and have a very sweet connection. Both kittens have sensitive stomachs and do best eating a sensitive stomach food. Sofia also has IC (interstitial cystits) which causes her to occasionally urinate outside of the litterbox. This is managed by prozac/buspirone which costs about $45/mo and an over the counter urinary diet (non-prescription).
All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Young bonded cats have an adoption fee of $262.50. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
