My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet AJ: The 93% Happy-Go-Lucky, 7% Drama Queen Extraordinaire!

AJ is a 1.5-year-old puppy who’s packed a lifetime of experiences into his short life. Born in the shelter after his brave mama was rescued, he’s finally ready to to be adopted by a loving family.

This silly, goofy, resilient boy has earned an A+ rating from his long-term fosters, friends, and anyone lucky enough to meet him. Let’s dive into why AJ could be your new best friend:

AJ`s Greatest Hits (So Far):
Behavior Superstar: Even as an unaltered pup (he’ll be neutered on Jan 15th), AJ has always been well-behaved for his age. He’s non-destructive and thrives on positive reinforcement.

Crate Champ: Sleeps soundly in his crate from 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.—that’s more than some humans can say!

Housebroken & Polite: No accidents here. He knows his boundaries indoors.

Commands Prodigy: AJ’s vocabulary includes “Stop,” “Go,” “Wait,” “Sit,” “No,” and “Drop it.” He’s a fast learner who’s eager to please.

Leash Walker in Training: AJ enjoys long strolls and is improving on his leash manners every day.

Adventurous Foodie: AJ is a certified foodie! He’s extremely food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. Bonus points: he’s wallet-friendly, loving everyday veggies and fruits as much as his delicious treats. Who needs a picky eater when you’ve got AJ happily munching on carrots or apples by your side?

Toy Enthusiast: Loves running, playing, and turning your yard into his personal paradise.

Health Ready: AJ will soon be neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated—a model canine citizen!

The Work-in-Progress (aka Puppy Perks):
Social Butterfly: AJ loves other dogs, cats, and people, sometimes too much. On walks, he may stare, whine, or pull to say hello. He’s working on it and will very likely calm down post-neutering.

Gentle Giant in Training: At 70 pounds, AJ’s enthusiasm can occasionally lead to accidental bumps or jumps. He’s best suited for a home with kids over six, though he adores children—he once waited every morning for his foster’s younger siblings to wake up just so he could smother them with kisses.

Why AJ is a Superstar:
Despite the constant changes in his life — AJ remains sweet, resilient, and eager to love. His ideal family will match his playful energy, give him the training he craves, and most importantly, shower him with the affection he so generously gives.and turning your yard into hi
