Born around February 10, 2024, Niihau is a stunning Boxer mix who’s equal parts supermodel and zoomie champion. She’s got the looks to stop traffic and the energy to run alongside it (and possibly lap it a few times). This girl is *go go go*—so if you're looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling. But if you’ve got a love for adventure, a decent sneaker collection, and maybe a fenced yard, Niihau is ready to be your ride-or-die.
Niihau is a social butterfly once she warms up—just give her a minute to size you up and then she’ll be handing out tail wags and kisses like party favors. She’s great with kids and other dogs, and has big “fun aunt” energy. Just maybe keep your shoes out of reach if she’s feeling bored… because this girl’s motto is: If you're not using your sneakers to take me on a walk, you might as well let me have it as a chew toy.
Her ideal family is one that loves to move, laugh, and doesn’t mind a little slobber with their affection. Whether it’s hiking, running, playing fetch, or just a game of “let’s sprint around the living room for no reason,” Niihau is here to keep you on your toes—and in your happiest shape. Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization; obtained our 501(c)3 in 2011 - ID #27-0810495
Located in Anza, CA
Kathy Haley had originally started as a rescue for abused and neglected large animals such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and more. At the time, she was also a volunteer at a dog rescue. After learning about the importance of rescue work, Kathy saw an opportunity to help by employing her own ideas about animal welfare, rescue and care taking the "whole animal," mind, body and spirit into consideration. A few years later, she met Lisa Ashe. Kathy and Lisa had so many ideas, dreams, and goals in common. They instantly clicked and that was when Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, was born in 2011 and have been going strong since.
At Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we are dedicated to taking in abused, neglected, and euthanasia listed animals that deserve a second chance and need us the most.
All of our animals are:
Spayed/Neutered
Current on all vaccines
Rabies Vaccinated
Dewormed
Micro-chipped (lifetime registered & paid)
Received all proper medical care when needed (surgeries, dentals, medications, grooming, etc)
While many of our animals are sanctuary or "permanent residents", we do have lots of adoptable pets who are patiently waiting for their forever homes.
We are unique in the fact that our dogs do not live in kennels; instead they live with us in our home on about 5 acres of property located in Anza, CA or they are in foster homes in and around the Temecula, CA area. They have full access to our home and property and sleep inside with us at night.
This ensures that our pets are well adjusted and perfectly suited to become a part of your family.
Because the sanctuary is also our home, we do not have regular public visiting hours but we do have many visitors.
We just have to arrange it to fit the schedule of our animals, ourselves, and you.
