My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cherry!

Cherry is a very special four year old Abyssinian guinea pig. She has a heart as soft as her rosette covered fur. She's a sensitive soul who thrives in a calm, predictable environment and is looking for a home that truly understands her gentle demeanor.

Cherry will need to be bonded with another guinea pig, as she does best with a piggie friend by her side. Because of past trauma, her forever home must be dog free. She does best with gentle, quieter children.

Cherry really enjoys the simple pleasures of guinea pig life, cozy hidies, fresh hay, a snuggly pillow, and consistent routine. If you are willing to meet her where she is, and offer the quiet serenity she deserves, you be will rewarded with a gentle, kind, and loving companion.

With questions about Cherry, or any of our other small animals available for adoption, e-mail Smallies@rispca.org.

Additional adoption info

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
