Gimli is a sweet girl who has had a rough ride. She was found as a sick stray that a Good Samaritan brought in. From there, Gimli battled one ailment after another, but however being sick made her feel, she never presented as anything but a sweet and playful little lady. We discovered that Gimli has mega-colon, which means that she needs some extra help with her digestion, so she will need to be on a high-fiber diet, as well as a urinary support diet. Gimli has stress-related cystitis, which causes inflammation in the bladder. Because of all of this, we believe Gimli will do best in a more peaceful home. She would likely do well with another cat friend, but otherwise a home where Gimli can feel safe and loved is what matters most. Gimli has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV. All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $6. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)
