My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amana, a stunning female, is still on the lookout for her forever home and currently holds the title of the longest resident in our rescue. Her adoption fee has been generously sponsored, making it easier for her to find a loving home.

This petite beauty has a distinct personality and prefers a serene environment, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. While she can be a bit of a loner, Amana enjoys moments of companionship, often choosing to curl up next to you or even on your lap when she feels affectionate. During these times, you can gently pet her soft, silky coat, but she also values her space and may retreat to a cozy spot nearby.

Known for her gentle nature, Amana has never shown aggression, opting instead to withdraw when stressed. She would thrive best as a solo pet, as she is quite selective about her feline companions, although she does tolerate the resident senior dog in her foster home. 🐾❤️ Amana does possess a weakness for treats and will gently tap your hand for more.

An online application can be found at SandiPaws.org. Amana is spayed, microchipped, FeLV/FIV negative, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
