My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hope – A Calm, Playful Soul Ready for Her Happy Ending 💜🐾

When Hope first arrived at our doorstep in the early hours of a winter morning, she was unsure and searching for safety. Since then, she’s come such a long way. With patience, love, and consistency, Hope has learned that the world isn’t so scary. Her sweet, gentle personality now shines through more every day.

Hope is a calm, well-mannered girl who enjoys her routines and loves keeping her space tidy and cozy. She has a playful side, too! She adores her toys, gets the zoomies now and then, and happily curls up afterward for a good nap with a chew bone. Car rides are one of her favorite things; she loves sitting shotgun with the wind in her ears and a happy sparkle in her eyes.

Hope does well around cats but may give chase if introductions aren’t done slowly. She’s very selective with other dogs prefers to stick to humans. Hope warms up quickly to women but can be a little hesitant around men. She appreciates a gentle, patient approach when meeting new people.

She walks nicely on leash, listens beautifully to both hand and voice cues, and always tries her best to please.

Hope has blossomed into such a loving and special girl. She’s ready for a forever home that will embrace her playful spirit and continue showing her just how wonderful life can be.Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

Additional adoption info

Spay/neuter + rabies is included in our adoption fee, but may not be completed by time of adoption due to our limited access to veterinary appointments. We have local partners listed in your adoption contract that you can schedule an appointment with (and are paid by us) or we will reimburse for up to $100 for non-network veterinarians. Microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, flea treatment and dewormer are included.

Go meet their pets

Our public hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 4pm. Dog meets may be also scheduled on Sunday and Monday by appointment only. No appointment is needed to meet our cats during public hours.
Please note that appointments are highly recommended for dog meets due to limited staff availability, but we do accommodate walk-in visits whenever possible. Additionally, many of our dogs may be located off-site in foster homes and an appointment will be required to meet those pets. We do require a completed application prior to meeting pets in foster homes to preserve the valuable time of our foster families.

More about this shelter

PAWS finds new families for stray dogs and cats as well as owner surrendered pets. We also accept animals brought to us by concerned citizens and local animal control agencies and do our best to find them suitable homes. Our mission is to find homes and offer direct care for as many of these loveable pets as possible. PAWS attempts to prevent the birth of unwanted animals through education and spay/neuter programs.

PAWS of Grays Harbor is a strictly non-profit organization and we survive because of donations from our community. All of the animals we adopt out are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for fleas. Sometimes, the animals we rescue require additional veterinary care. Without your donations, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you.
