Meet Zendaya - a pretty girl who who came to ACR from some rough circumstances! In October, we were contacted about an injured mom and kittens. A couple had purchased an apartment complex in a nearby community, and were informed that a mom and kittens were living in the hallway. We don’t know how long they had been living there or how they were getting food. A volunteer from ACR picked up mom and babies, expecting to see a mom with an injured leg. As they loaded everyone into carriers it became clear that this was much more than what ACR was prepared for.

The mom had a serious wound to her paw. Her four babies were all little purr machines, even two who had issues with their legs. One (Suzuki) couldn’t walk and rolled to get around. She had serious infections throughout her body, and two of her legs were missing or partially gone. She was the sweetest thing, and the vet was hopeful about the treatment plan we had in place. Unfortunately Suzuki didn’t survive, and passed while being loved by her foster family. Another kitten, Zeus, declined quickly and didn’t survive. He passed while being shown love and being given a warm home by his foster family.

Mama Zendaya's two remaining babies are Sadie and Zola. Both girls are in foster care. Sadie is missing part of her back leg. However she gets around and doesn’t let it slow her down. Zola is a very sweet and snuggly girl, who is currently getting over a kitty cold. We’re hopeful both girls will be ready for adoption in the near future.

Zendaya's paw has healed and now this sweet girl is ready for adoption! The vet believes her paw injury was from being caught in a trap. She has been through a lot and truly deserves to find the perfect forever home. She is ready to be loved and spoiled as an indoor-only cat!

All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained.
