Meet Bean, a stunning and energetic young dog weighing in at around 55 pounds, fully grown. If you're seeking a velcro dog who loves to stick by your side, Bean is the perfect match. He adores spending time with kids, though his playful puppy energy makes him better suited for a home with older children or those comfortable with a spirited, larger dog (he's still figuring out just how big he is!).
Bean enjoys playing with dogs his size, but he hasn't had much exposure to smaller dogs or cats. His idea of a perfect day? Play hard, then nap harder! Bean is a well-mannered young gentleman who is crate trained and fully potty trained. He knows what his toys are, so you don’t have to worry about him getting into things around the house.
Being food motivated, Bean is a quick learner (once you get past his stubborn streak!). He already knows commands like sit, down, wait, release, and stay. He's still working on his leash manners but does great with a front harness. A fenced yard is a must for this adventurous pup, as he loves to explore and search for the perfect stick to chew on.
One of Bean’s favorite activities is perching on a bench to gaze out the window—he’s quite the lookout! If you’re ready to give Bean the loving, active home he deserves, submit an application today!

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.
When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.
The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!
What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
