Bean is a beautiful young dog who weighs about 55 pounds, full grown. If you're looking for a velcro dog who will follow you around the house, Bean is your guy. Bean loves kids, but since he still has some puppy energy, he would benefit from being in a home with older kids or children comfortable around an excitable larger dog (he doesn't know how big he is yet!). He loves playing with dogs his size, but hasn't had much experience playing with smaller dogs or cats. His idea of a perfect day is to play hard and then nap even harder! He is a polite young man who is crate trained and fully potty trained. He knows what are toys and what are not, so you don't have to worry about him getting into things around the house. Since he is food motivated, training is a breeze (once you get passed his stubborn bone!). So far, he knows sit, down, wait, release and stay. He is still working on leash manners, but does great with a front harness. He would do best with a fenced yard as he loves to wander and find the perfect stick to chew on. His favorite place is perching on a bench to look out the window (check out the pic!). If Bean sounds like your new best friend, submit an app today!

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.
When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.
The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!
What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
