Meet Joan Jett, affectionately known as “Joanie” or “Halfstache” because of the adorable half-mustache marking on her face. This tuxedo sweetheart is the perfect mix of mellow and wild. When it’s time to snuggle, Joan is as calm and cuddly as they come, happily stretched out beside your legs in bed or following you around to keep you company. But when playtime rolls around, she’s a real wild child, racing after her sisters and diving into the action with unstoppable energy.
Joan adores being petted and will sometimes give you gentle love bites, always followed by sweet kisses to let you know she means no harm. While she’s generally quiet, Joan isn’t afraid to speak up when she has something important to say.
Joan has always thrived in the company of other cats and would love a home with one or both of her sisters, though any gentle feline companion will do. This curious, loving girl is ready to run away with your heart!

Some dogs will undergo a home check if a fence is required. If there is a lot of interest in a particular dog we will take multiple apps.

We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $90 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private rescue. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond.

We are a 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to rescue homeless as well as owner released cats and dogs, whose owners can no longer care for them due to difficult circumstances. We give these animals a place to live with compassion, dignity and hope as we work to find our cats and dogs new loving homes.
