My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

December is a beautiful girl whose journey began on a chill winter morning when she and her five kittens were abandoned in our parking lot. December devoted herself to caring for her babies, and now that theyve all been placed in forever homes, its time for this brave mama to find a happy ending of her own.

December has a quiet, reserved nature. Shes not the type to demand attention, but when she decides shes ready, she enjoys gentle pets and affection. Shes also easygoing with other cats in the shelter, content to share space without conflict, though she prefers not to engage much with them.

This lovely girl would do best in a calm, patient home where she can build trust and feel secure. With kindness and time, she will reward her family with her quiet companionship and the joy of seeing her finally relax into the life she deserves.

After all shes been through, December is ready for a fresh startcould your home be the safe, loving place shes been waiting for?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Most of our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
