My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fitz est une vraie boule d`amour! Il ne voudra jamais que vous arrêtiez de le flatter et adore dormir sur le ventre de ses humains. Il a donc besoin de rejoindre une famille présente. Fitz est très gourmand et est motivé par la nourriture. Malgré son début de vie difficile, il adore le contact humain, ce qui fait de lui le parfait compagnon pour toute personne souhaitant avoir un chat affectueux.

//

Fitz is a real ball of love! He`ll never want you to stop petting him, and loves to sleep on his humans` bellies. So he needs to be with his family. Fitz is very fond of food and is motivated by it. Despite his difficult start in life, he adores human contact, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for an affectionate cat.

More about this shelter

Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds. The SPCA has come a long way since its beginnings: today, it is the largest animal-protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation or neglect.
