INFO: Meet Onyx - one of our Long-Stay Legends! Our Long-Stay Legends have been at the shelter for over a year and it`s time they find the homes they deserve. Long-stay Legends are placed on our Urgent List to boost their visibility and highlight their fantastic attributes in order to fast track their journey home. We believe that a year is far too long to wait for a forever family and so does Onyx!

Onyx is friendly, easy to walk on leash, has calm energy but can become silly and playful. He does have some medical issues related to his age but still gets around well. He was recently diagnosed with severe degenerative joint disease. If adopted/rescued an orthopedic consult is recommended.

Complete an application in-person at the shelter.

Meet the Pet

Meet with an Adoption Counselor to discuss your application and review information on the pet(s) you would like to meet.

Take the Pet Home

All pets at the shelter beyond their stray holding period can go home with you the same day.
