Violet is a mixed German Shepherd Dog who is very playful. She runs at full speed in her back yard. A fenced back yard would be helpful but not necessary. Violet is a beautiful young, female German Shepherd Dog. She`s About 2 ½ to 3 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She has displayed a wonderful disposition in his foster home! She is a very loving, energetic adolescent who is a `Velcro dog” and loves to be petted. If you want an independent, aloof dog, she`s not your girl, - but if you want an attentive companion who would prefer not to let you out of her sight, that`s Violet. She the sort of dog who will never, ever let you feel lonely. So far, Violet has been friendly with everyone that she has met once she realizes that they’re not threat However, she can be quite vocal behind a gate but once he meets you, she wants to be your friend. She loves playing with the female dog in her foster home. She seems to get so much happiness from canine companionship She is very respectful of the other dog. She does not live with kids in his foster home, but we think she would be fine with them. She`s met several kids on walks in the neighborhood and has been fine with them. She`s learned good house manners in his foster home: She is already potty-trained and crate trained. She has learned basic commands such as Sit, Come, Heel, as his foster dad trains dogs. Violet will be a wonderful companion to someone who knows how to work with an adolescent dog. She`s a real gem for someone who wants a fun-loving dog.
Violet is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Violet, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste link):
