Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Glizzy—affectionately known as “GG”—is a sweet, loyal girl who has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone who’s met her. Her favorite activities? Snuggling on the couch, following her nose on walks, and showing off how smart she is (treats definitely help!). She knows sit, down, leave it, and even waits for an “OK” before diving into her meals. She’s house-trained, kennel-trained, and loves having a cozy spot to nap while you work or relax.
Glizzy is an absolute people-lover. She greets visitors like old friends and enjoys being part of the action without being overwhelming. Her perfect day includes a short walk, a squeaky toy or two, and curling up beside you for a nap.
Because of her strong prey drive and reactivity toward other animals, Glizzy would do best as the only pet in the home. She’s also best suited to a home without babies or toddlers, but older kids and adults will adore her sweet and affectionate nature.
Glizzy does have a serious heart condition called severe subaortic stenosis, which unfortunately means her life expectancy is shorter than average (most dogs with her condition don’t live beyond age 3). She takes medication to help her heart and is doing great in her foster home, but her adopter will need to continue her care and understand her limitations.

More about this shelter
Welcome to CMHS! In continuous operation since 1943, the Central Missouri Humane Society promotes the well-being of companion animals – pets that enrich the lives of the people who love them.
The Columbia Humane Society was formed in 1943 to provide shelter and care for Columbia’s abandoned animals. Originating in a little structure on Creasy Springs Road, the organization has grown into today’s Central Missouri Humane Society, a regional animal welfare agency caring for thousands of animals annually and providing veterinary services for low-income pet owners.
