Meet Xochitl! Pronounced SOW-cheel, this large and in charge gal is 7-years-old and first arrived at Cat Care Society December 18th, 2024. Xochitl LOVES to sing in the evenings and her favorite pastime activities include people watching through her window, catching bubbles,big stretches on her favorite scratching post, and watching other cats judgingly. She may do best in a calm home where she can be the star of the home and live out her golden years in peace. Due to Xochitl's senior status, she does have some medical needs that CCS staff would love to go over with you! Our hope is that someone will meet her in her foster home and fall in love with her for the cat that she is before her one year anniversary comes to pass, will you consider giving this sweet senior a home to calm down in?

Submit Application
Once you have found a cat you are interested in, fill out our adoption application with basic information. Bring your ID!

Approve Application
After your application is approved one of our professional adoption counselors will chat with you to make sure there's a great fit.

Take the Pet Home
Once you’ve been approved, you can head home with your new cat!

If you are looking to adopt a cat, we encourage you to visit our shelter. There are no scheduled appointments at CCS – simply drop by during the shelter’s open hours.
When you visit the shelter seeking to adopt, one of our friendly adoption counselors can answer any questions and help you find your new best friend!
Once you have found a cat that suits you – which may take more than one visit – fill out an adoption application. You will then go through the adoption process to learn more about the specific cat you have chosen and to review the adoption contract. Adoption paperwork usually takes about 30-45 minutes to complete and review.
They have undergone a physical examination upon entry into the shelter, and Dewormer and FVRCP vaccinations. If they are over 4 months they will have received a rabies vaccination. If they are over 12 weeks, they will have been snap tested for FIV, FeLV and Heartworm. All adoptable cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered. All cats and kittens leave the shelter with a 14-day health care assistance plan, a collar and ID tag, and an implanted microchip used to help return lost pets to their homes.
Adoption Fees
$150 - Adoption fee for one kitten
$75 - Adult cats 6 months and older
$50 - FeLV and FIV cats
Senior for Seniors :Free adoption for people 65 years or older who adopt a cat 10 years or older
