My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate:  6/8/2020

Breed: One of a kind

Watch My Video: It’s me, Shimmer!

If you've seen this gorgeous face many, many times when visiting our site and kept on scrolling, thinking there has to be some reason that SHIMMER hasn't found her home yet - well, you'd be right.  Shimmer's "squad" (the people who've loved and cared for her through some hard times) thought you'd like some insight into her journey to restore her health.

Shimmer has always been stunning.  She's always had a big personality, lots of opinions and a real need to be with her people - wherever the action is.  Sitting on your lap (your keyboard, even lol) she can be adorably vocal about wanting to join you.  But something wasn't right and it started to show.  She lost a good deal of weight, the radiance in her eyes and her coat - but this girl never lost her spark or her determination.  With a team of specialists going deep for an innovative treatment - Shimmer has regained her health!  She is slowly being weaned from the meds that proved lifesaving and there is absolutely no reason she can't go home with you today.

We'd love you to come and meet her.  She has a dedicated fan club but she doesn't have a family or a home of her own.  They say love is the best medicine, and that's where you come in.  We love her dearly, but it's time to pass the baton.

** Shimmer is also available for foster until she finds her forever! Please inquire with our adoptions team about fostering! **

Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic! Once your questionnaire is pre-approved, you will be able to meet our pets. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
