Linguini was found with her sister (Rigatoni, https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/(xxx) xxx-xxxx 3-alameda-california-cat) November living under a dilapidated warehouse. The sisters are now about seven months old, and have been spayed, treated for fleas, and vaccinated against FVRCP and rabies.
These kittens will require patience, and will do best in a household without small children and other pets. They will need to be indoor-only cats, since they started their lives as ferals.
Both kittens went from hissing at us when we came close to their cage, to now allowing us to pet them throughout the day. They’re still shy, but will open up to you if you’re gentle and provide treats.
Linguini: food-motivated; loves to be pet and brushed. Purring machine. Does not like to be picked up, but seems like she will eventually.
Rigatoni: more shy/timid; enjoys being pet when food is involved. She’ll take more work than her sister, but she definitely has started to enjoy the indoor life.
