Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT POPPY
This handsome man is a 10-year-old bully mix with the biggest heart. Poppy was found locally as a stray and, sadly, no one came looking for him. Despite being abandoned, Poppy is just thrilled to make new friends wherever he goes. He is partially blind and partially deaf, but he doesn’t let anything slow him down. Full of energy and curiosity, Poppy loves to explore his world. Whether he’s enjoying an afternoon stroll or settling in for a long snooze, he’s always a happy guy with a wagging tail and a joyful heart. Though he may need a little help understanding his surroundings, he’s quick to adjust and is easily redirected with a tasty treat. Poppy is ready to share his love with the right family, could it be yours?
**Poppy is seeking a home as your only pet, without cats or other dogs. Due to his hearing and visual impairments, he would likely do best with older children or adults.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
