Meet Toad!
Toad is an 1 year old neutered mixed breed (a little herding dog, a little terrier, and a whole lot of personality). He came to us as a stray puppy in rural Texas back in January 2025 with his siblings—who’ve since found their families. Now it’s Toad’s turn!
This friendly boy checks all the boxes: dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly. He’s the trifecta, ready to fit right into family life.
Foster Update:
Toad is basically pure mischief wrapped in a cuddly, cow-spotted package. His unique “reverse Guernsey cow” coat—mostly white with tan patches—makes him look like a tiny calf, but don’t be fooled: he’s all pup, no moo.
Cuddles are his specialty. Snuggling into a cozy bed at night is his favorite event. He truly believes affection should be an Olympic sport—he’d take home a gold medal every time. He can get a little lonely when left alone but nothing major - he is happiest when he's part of the action.
When Toad's not curled up in cuddle mode, he’s all about the zoomies. This little speedster turns the backyard into his personal racetrack, especially when teamed up with the resident dog. Together, they’re a blur of paws, wagging tails, and joyful chaos.
Toad’s dream home?
A family who loves snuggles as much as he does, with space to zoom and (ideally) a playful canine friend to romp with. Because of his herding mix and energy level, we aren’t considering apartments for Toad at this time.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Animal History: This dog was a stray intake along with his two littermates in rural Texas and rescued in collaboration with AARC Del Rio, arriving via Paws Up Rescue Transport on 1/9/2024 to foster care in Seattle. He is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.
