Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mittens (FIV +) Here`s a good news/bad news story. Mittens came to us after living as an `outside community cat` in a housing development. Unfortunately, the person taking care of this nomadic boy is no longer able to. Additionally, since Mittens tested positive for FIV+, he is no longer able to be outside. He`s a good looking brown/white tabby who is independent. He is a bit shy (can you blame him?). Mittens was adopted but returned after 4 months due to always hiding. Apparently he was never comfortable in that environment. It appears that Mittens would be best in a quiet home with little activity and no demands on his time. We can relate to that. lol Since he is FIV+, he needs to be inside for his own safety and health. A nice sunny enclosed porch or windowsill, where he can relax and calmly oversee his surroundings, would be perfect. The good news is Mittens is no longer in danger by being outdoors. Cats with FIV+ usually pass from old age in the appropriate environment. Looking for a mature, quiet companion to brighten your home and make you smile? Want to help this really nice guy feel loved again? Come visit Mittens from 11a - 4p Tuesday through Saturday. He needs some quiet attention and love. He is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for FeLV.
