My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rachel is a loving, loyal, and playful girl who’s ready to find her forever home. After being hit by a car and left at a local LA shelter to be euthanized, her story could have ended there—but we stepped in just in time. She underwent double leg surgery and is now fully healed, moving around with strength and joy.

Despite everything she’s been through, Rachel’s spirit is as sweet and joyful as ever. She’s a total people dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side—your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your constant companion. She thrives in a home where someone is around often and would love to be the center of your world.

While she’s friendly with other dogs, Rachel is truly human-oriented and will bond deeply with her person. Because of her past injuries, she’d do best in a home with no or minimal stairs to keep her active life comfortable and safe.

Rachel has so much love to give and is ready to share it with a family who will treasure her. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to fill your home with affection, playfulness, and devotion, Rachel is your girl.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

If you are interested in a dog (or dogs), please fill out an application for review. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes.

2.

Interview

Please allow up to 72 hours for your application to be reviewed. If you are approved for a meet and greet, we will contact you via email.

3.

Approve Application

Once your application is approved to meet the dog, we will arrange a formal meet with the foster parent.

4.

Meet the Pet

The meet and greet helps you and the dog begin to get acquainted and see if there’s potential to form a forever bond.

5.

Home Check

If the meet goes well and it’s a great potential fit, we do a home visit. After the home visit, we begin a week long home trial.

6.

Take the Pet Home

We do a 7 day home trial prior to all adoptions. During this time we check in via phone and this allows you to ensure it’s the right fit.

7.

Pay Fee

After the trial is complete, you pay their respective adoption fee, sign the adoption agreement, and receive a certificate and records.

Additional adoption info

We are a foster based organization so as our dogs are in individual foster homes, potential adopters must be pre-approved to meet a dog to ensure it’s a potential fit before taking the time to meet them. We are also always looking for new Foster’s which is a great way to meet new dogs before committing to the right fit furever!

More about this rescue

Compassion Kind is dedicated to promoting a more conscious culture through compassionate actions to end the suffering of all beings. We want to create a paradigm shift that elevates human consciousness and strengthens the human-animal bond. We hope to inspire a closer connection to nature while helping humans and non-human animals thrive. We do this through animal rescue, global advocacy, disaster relief and vulnerable community development projects. We believe compassion is a catalyst for change and the way forward.
