Rue is a teenage pup with energy to spare and love to give! She’s a playful, spirited girl who thrives in an active home where she can run, explore, and be part of the fun. Rue sleeps on her bed at night, but when left alone she can get anxious—howling, whining, or looking for things to keep herself busy. Crates aren’t her favorite (she’ll paw and protest), so she’ll do best in a home that can help her learn independence with patience and compassion.
Rue has been around dogs, but she is not cat-friendly. With dogs, she can be jealous of her owner’s attention and may show protectiveness over her favorite person (usually a female). Her new family will need to help her build confidence and healthy boundaries. She has met little kids without issue and loves playing with toys of all kinds—stuffies, bones, and tennis balls are at the top of her list!
Rue is looking for:
• A high-energy family ready to keep her active and engaged.
• A yard where she can zoom and stretch her legs.
• A home with other dogs or kids could be great—as long as her protectiveness is managed with patience and training.
• People willing to help her work through her anxiety and cheer her on as she grows.
Rue is still very much a teenager, learning her way in the world. With the right family—one that can match her energy, guide her through her jealous moments, and show her patience—she’ll blossom into the loyal, joyful best friend she’s meant to be.
