My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Melody was a neighborhood stray who gave birth to at least two litters of kittens. Her last litter was born on 10/5/2024 after she came into foster care. She was an excellent mother to her 5 kittens and even adopted a 6'th kitten who had been orphaned at 4 weeks of age. After weaning her kittens, she was spayed and introduced into a house full of foster cats. She hasn't caused any harm but would definitely do best as an only cat. She can be a bit bossy and likes her space. With people, on the other hand, she is super affectionate and craves closeness and contact. She likes laps and lots of petting. She is a small cat with a slim frame and will fit very nicely into any one cat household where she can be the center of attention.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue group on the Eastern Shore of Maryland that fosters cats and kittens in our homes until they are ready to be adopted. All our fosters are spayed or neutered, SNAP tested, given meds for fleas and parasites and have all shots that are age appropriate. We put our adoptable pets in Petsmart for the public to interact with and to fill out adoption paperwork. We are a nonprofit organization that operates with a staff of volunteers that manage the adoption center at Petsmart, staff shows and adoptathons throughout the year and take homeless cats and kittens into their homes until they are ready for adoption. We are totally dependent on grants and donations to cover our expenses for our foster cats.
