Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emelia is a playful black and white, lowrider Staffordshire Terrier who packs 40 pounds of pure cuteness. She’s bursting with energy, love, and personality, and always ready for her next adventure. One of her favorite things in the world is playing with rope toys, and when she jumps up to grab them, she practically takes flight. This fun loving girl would thrive in an active home and dreams of having a fenced yard where she can zoomie to her heart’s content. Emelia is extremely treat motivated and loves to learn, making training a fun and rewarding experience. She’s also delightfully goofy and never fails to make you laugh.
When playtime is over, Emelia turns into the coziest nap companion and don’t be surprised if you hear her before you see her. She’s the loudest (and cutest) snorer in the kennel, and watching her sleep is guaranteed to melt your heart. Emelia needs slow introductions to other dogs, but once she trusts them, her playful and silly personality shines right through. To meet Emelia please fill out an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org!

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
