Evening is a young male dog with a playful spirit and a big heart. He absolutely loves toys and swimming—nothing makes him happier than splashing in the water or chasing after a favorite ball. Evening gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion. Though he can be shy when meeting new people, all he needs is a little time and patience. Once he feels safe, Evening's sweet and friendly personality shines through, and he quickly becomes a loyal and loving friend. He’s looking for someone who will give him the gentle encouragement he needs to truly blossom.

Visit us Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM! All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Adoption fee: $45.00.

More about this shelter

The Chickasha Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Chickasha, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Chickasha and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public Spay and neuter program with OkHumane, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.

We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
