My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josie

This energetic young girl arrived in foster/train the day after Christmas. It was obvious immediately that she desperately wanted to be a good girl and have a loving relationship with people but had no idea how!

She took to training like a duck to water. The home team pack welcomed her and taught her good house manners, foster mom & trainer taught her good leash manners and obedience. She has quickly become a fan favorite and has even made her TV debut!

Josie is smart, affectionate and eager to please but she’s also very high energy and not willing to just sit around all day. She loves to chase the feral kitties and bark at the squirrels just as much as she loves to play with the other dogs in the back yard.

She needs a vigorous walk each day- following all of the rules- and time to play ball and burn energy. She would be fine with kids but will certainly knock over the little ones. Strongly recommend no small pets or children under 12.

Josie really enjoys a good sofa snuggle after a solid day’s work, exercise and playtime. She has been very respectful of the bed in her crate and reliably housebroken. She will do best in an active family with a younger single or couple who wants to be her leader and harness her inherent talent for work, action and accomplishment.

Lifetime training support is available in the Harrisburg area at a very significant discount. If you are interested in setting up a meet and greet with Josie, your application will be forwarded to the foster for them to contact you for arrangements.
