Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB 3-Sep-2024
Satin is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.
Satin is a shy girl who is just starting to warm up to people. While she can be elusive at times, seeking out the perfect hiding spot, she has recently discovered an appreciation for pets as evidenced by her hearty purr when she receives them. When she feels secure and comfortable, she loves her toys and chasing her sister Velvet. The feeling is mutual. When they're not running around together they can be found sleeping in close quarters. She also loves to eat! She's great with other cats and fine with dogs as well.
Satin would do best in a quiet environment with patient humans who are willing to help her continue to come out of her shell. She would not be a great match for a loud home with lots of activity and at this point in time is not a good fit for children. She would love to be adopted with her slightly more outgoing sister Velvet who has been a huge comfort to her after they were reunited following a short separation for medical reasons. The impact of her reunion with her sister had an immediate positive impact on her confidence and engagement with people.
She still does have a ways to go so potential adopters should be prepared for some hiding and fearfulness around humans. That being said, she is an absolute sweetie who has great potential to be a furever friend for the right person.
