Penny’s journey is nothing short of incredible. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation—starving and tied up under a bridge in Tennessee—this resilient 3-year-old, 41-pound sweetheart has been thriving in her Illinois foster home. Now, she’s ready to find her forever family and fill their lives with love and joy.
Penny has never met a stranger and adores everyone she meets. She’s the ultimate cuddle buddy, always ready to snuggle up and soak in all the affection she can get. She loves the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with another young, playful pup. Currently, Penny shares her foster home with three dogs, including a strong-willed alpha female, and gets along beautifully with them all. Fully potty trained and with excellent house manners, she’s a joy to have around.
Despite her rough past, Penny is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. She’s independent and well-behaved, even when her foster mom works long hours, proving herself to be both adaptable and patient. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or simply lounging on a comfy couch, Penny is ready to embrace the good life with her forever family.
Penny is a total goofball, full of quirks that will keep you laughing! She’s always trying to jump on the dishwasher to “help” with cleanup and can leap around the house like a gazelle. Her silly antics and playful personality make every day with her an adventure.
