My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brandy’s mamma, Ladybug, was rescued after being dumped in a field in Ft. Lauderdale with 10 other rabbits. Shortly after coming in to rescue she gave birth to 5 beautiful babies. All of the babies look like their mom! They are Florida White rabbits, which means Brandy will remain on the smaller size, around 4 pounds. Unfortunately, all-white bunnies are often passed over because their all-white coats are seen to be “boring” and their red eyes are “scary” - but red-eyed whites, or REWs, are known to be some of the most good-natured, gentle and relaxed bunnies around!

Since Brandy is still a young bun she has that young bunny spirit and is adventurous and curious. She loves to explore her surroundings, and will let you know when she wants out by pulling the bars of her exercise pen. When not roaming about the house exploring, Brandy likes to lie on her pretty pink bed. She is a good hay eater, enjoys her morning Oxbow Adult pellets, and her favorite greens include Romaine lettuce, cilantro and sage. Brandy gets along well with the well-behaved dog of the house and even likes to groom him. This sweet and friendly girl is ready find her forever home.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
