I’ve been fostering two bonded, approximately one-year-old male cats for the past 5 months, and it’s time to find their next loving stop on the journey to becoming fully-socialized house cats.
Meet 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 & 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 — affectionately nicknamed 𝐆𝐢𝐧 & 𝐏𝐨 by foster mom and dad. 💛 These boys started out very shy and semi-feral, but they have come so far. They’re gentle, never aggressive, and have slowly learned to trust us. They’re still nervous around people, but with time, patience, and a calm home, they’ll continue to blossom.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝: A new foster or adoptive family who understands that progress takes time and celebrates small victories. Someone who can offer a quiet environment, patience, and lots of love as the boys continue to build confidence. They are bonded and will stay together.
If you’ve ever thought about fostering or adopting shy cats and would love the reward of helping them grow, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 to set up a meet & greet. You might be the person who helps them fully bloom.

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
