This adorable almost four year old terrier mix has been waiting patiently for her forever family. She’ll hit one year at the shelter in January 2026, and we’re hoping her people find her before then! Paysir can be a little anxious at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines right through. She’s a sensitive girl who bonds deeply and just wants someone to love her back. She loves meaty treats! Paysir does well on a leash and enjoys exploring with her person. She would do best with a fenced-in yard if she won’t always be leashed, because this girl likes to go a little rogue given the chance. She’s super sweet, loyal, and ready to find her match! If you’re looking for a loving companion who will blossom with patience and consistency, Paysir might be your girl!

Our hours of business Tues-Fri 11-5 and Saturday 11-3. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.

If it's a good match with you and your chosen pet then you'll sign the adoption contact and take you new friend to their furever home

Most dogs $95 and puppies $125
Cats/Kittens $65.00
However, we reserve the right to raise or lower the fees under special circumstances

Our adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccines, deworming, spay or neuter, flea/tick/heartworm prevention will be current, heartworm test if over 6 months old.

An Adoption Application must be completed and approved along with the necessary adoption fee paid before an animal will be released to a new adopter. We will hold the fee and the pet of your choosing during the application approval process. Most applications take 24-48 hours for complete approval.

More about this shelter

We are a private 501 (c) 3 shelter in rural West Tennessee. We are named after the late Mrs. Frances Halbrook Hensley. Mrs. Hensley was an avid animal lover of all dogs and cats. She sacrificed everyday essentials that most take for granted in order to leave all she could to build this facility. This shelter is her dream, her vision, her legacy and the very first of its kind for this community.

It is our Mission to carry out her legacy by giving abandoned and neglected animals in our community the love and care that they deserve while offering every opportunity to finding their forever home.
