Meet Ciara, a small Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a big heart, ready to find her forever home. Though she’s had a tough start in life, Ciara is learning to trust and thrive in a calm, loving environment. At first, she may be reserved and need a cozy crate to feel safe, but once she’s comfortable, her sweet and affectionate side shines. Ciara will thrive in a calm, loving environment where her family understands her need for time to adjust. A quieter home with a routine and plenty of love (and snacks) is perfect for her. A comfy crate and a warm bed (with blankets, of course) are must-haves.
She’s working on potty training and leash training, making steady progress with patience and encouragement. She needs to go to a home that has another dog and with a secure, fenced in yard as she is still a flight risk. Ready to meet Ciara? She’s waiting to become your loyal and snuggly companion!

We are setting up adoptions with approved adopters on an appointment basis. We are no longer hosting adoption events at PetSmart until further notice. We are not arranging meet and greets; but appointments to finalize adoptions to limit exposure for all. Our adoptions come with a one week trial period in which if things are not working out, we will refund your adoption fee if you decide to return your newly adopted Faithful Friend. Our adoptions must be done in person at PetSmart (3736 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608) and we do not arrange transport to adopters. Our adoption fees vary and we are only able to accept payments by card at this time but include spay/neuter, heartworm test (dogs), FeLV/FIV test (cats), age appropriate vaccines and deworming, flea, tick and heartworm medication and microchip.

While we are always happy for high adoption numbers, that is never our focus. Our focus is always the animals themselves - providing the best care for each animal in our program while we search for a loving, permanent home.
