My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Edam is a truly sweet and gentle girl with a quiet, thoughtful presence. She’s curious and sensitive, and while she may not demand constant attention, she always wants to be near her people. Edam loves hanging out in the same room as you, calmly watching while you go about your day, and every night she makes it her routine to sleep at the foot of your bed

Once she feels safe and comfortable, Edam becomes extra special—she even enjoys gentle belly pets, which says a lot about the trust she builds with her people.

Edam previously lived with her brother and another cat, but it seems she wasn’t able to fully be herself in a multi-cat environment. As the only pet, she’s really come into her own and is clearly enjoying her calm, peaceful lifestyle. With the right match, she might do well with a mellow, older cat, but she’s currently thriving as a solo kitty.

We absolutely adore Edam, and we know she’ll make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a loving, quiet, and playful soul. If you’re looking for a cat who will gently weave herself into your life and heart, Edam might be your perfect match

More about this rescue

Kitten Snatchers is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing Philadelphia's stray cats and kittens. Founded in 2020, we provide foster homes to cats found on the street or surrendered to ACCT, and we care for them until they can find their "fur"ever homes.

Our success is only made possible thanks to the hard work of our team of experienced and new fosters who open their homes to cats in need.
