My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Bebo & Kokomi are in our PetSmart Encinitas adoption center. ***

Bebo #18644: solid white w/gray, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 9/1/22
Kokomi #18961: orange/black torbie w/white, short hair, sp. female, born approx. 8/2/23

Cats: **BONDED PAIR** & others welcome
Dogs: unknown
Children: calm tweens+ / adults

BACKGROUND: Bebo was found with a severely broken jaw after the misaligned bones had already fused and it was beyond surgical correction, though his teeth were removed to help him eat better within the restricted mobility. Kokomi was pregnant and malnourished and others had died of starvation when she was rescued from a bad hoarding situation. The pair were adopted together and adored, but an unexpected life change for their adopter means they have returned our care.

PERSONALITY: Both are very playful and energetic and love interactive wands!
---Bicolor-eyed Bebo will jump for feather wands and likes the uppermost perch of his comfy cat tower. Confident and charming, Bebo can be carried like a baby, and a snug hug is just the ticket for him—he likes being pressed against your chest. This is handy since he often needs chest fur cleanup due to his messy eating and drooling that results from not being able to fully close his mouth. While his traumatic injury has left him with some accommodation needs, Bebo forges ahead without concern. He is friendly and talkative and responds to his name; good conversations are just part of the loving companionship Bebo offers!
---Kokomi will toss little rattle mice which is adorable to watch. She needs a very special human who will understand that she isn’t so sure about being regularly touched or petted. There isn’t an aggressive bone in Kokomi’s body and she is a very sweet kitty who will sometimes let you pet her head. She likes to sit near you and is happy to interact through toys and games, but she hasn’t yet been able to fully relax into the concept of petting and hands-on demonstrative love. Though we hope that over time as she connects with a consistent person she will realize it’s a good thing, Kokomi needs an adopter who won’t put expectations on her and will allow her to have her own comfort zone. Within that zone, Kokomi is a darling who is so enjoyable to have around!
---Bebo and Kokomi connected well in their first home and MUST be adopted together.

COMPATIBILITY: They are great friends and are social with other cats. We don’t kn
