Smart and trainable, Dozer knows his house manners but could benefit from some additional obedience training to channel his excitement and occasional jumpy behavior. With other dogs, Dozer is wonderfully submissive and respectful, showing a gentle side to his playful personality. He`s also cautious yet friendly when meeting cats, ensuring a peaceful interaction. However, Dozer`s energetic spirit means he can be a bit too rough for young children so he`ll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. He`s a bit needy for attention and loves to chew, so he`ll thrive with someone who appreciates his intensity and can provide plenty of toys and engagement. He would love a big back yard and lots of people to provide an outlet for his energy. He weighs 43 pounds and likes fetch, running, toys, walks (yes, he leads the way), and chase. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
