Hi I'm Ferguson, I'm a very sweet and playful kitty. I have some special needs. I had a rough start in life. I had panleukopenia when I first arrived in the rescue at only a couple weeks old. I fully recovered. Then at 4 months old I was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) I completed the 84 day treatment on June 9th and I've been doing great! Because of catching panluk at such a young age it caused some CH. Which is Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition where the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance and coordination, doesn't fully develop. This leads to symptoms like wobbliness, uncoordinated movements. But I don't let that stop me from having fun, running, jumping and playing. I love snuggling and taking naps in my foster moms lap. PAWER hosts adoption events each month! They are typically at our building in Trenton, but we have partnered with senior citizen homes, pet stores, apple orchards, and other businesses across downriver. We set up meet and greets for anybody interested, so you do not have to wait until one of our adoption events.

PAWER, Providing Animals With Emergency Resources, is a 501c3 that is based in Trenton. We provide a pet food bank each month, to help families going through hard times. We specialize in neonatal and injured cats, along with other small animals. At times, we have dogs and exotic animals as well. We partner with many local Animal Control Offices, to help animals they come across, that may not do well at local shelters, due to the experience we have. We love helping and giving back to the community, and we were able to adopt over 150 animals into their forever homes during 2023.
