Penny is a spirited six-year-old Coonhound Mix currently living in Cincinnati, OH, who is equal parts playful, loyal, and affectionate. Wrapped in a sleek black coat with soulful eyes that will melt your heart, Penny is the kind of companion who will always be by your side—whether on a long walk, playing a game of tug-of-war, or curled up next to you on the couch.
Penny thrives on routine, loves her daily walks, and is always up for an adventure (as long as she has a fenced yard to keep her from roaming too far!). She’s incredibly smart and food-motivated, making her eager to learn new tricks—she already knows sit, down, spin, and place, and is working on mastering stay and recall. She has a wonderfully goofy personality and isn’t shy about showing affection, often giving her signature "dog hug" headbutts or gazing at you with complete devotion.
Because Penny prefers to have all the attention to herself, she would do best as the only pet in a calm, structured home. She can feel nervous around other dogs and small children, so she’s looking for an adopter who understands her needs and will provide a patient, loving environment.
