My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On a freezing winter night, just before the snowstorm hit, Zima's tiny frame was spotted trembling beneath a car. Alone, cold, and desperate for warmth, this little pup’s future looked bleak. But Zima’s story didn’t end in heartbreak—it was just the beginning of a journey to find a family who will cherish her forever.

At only 10 weeks old, Zima has already shown resilience and bravery beyond her years. Her most striking feature? A captivating pale blue eye that tells a story of hope and longing. When she looks at you with her mismatched eyes, it’s as if she’s asking, “Will you love me?”

Zima is as sweet as they come. She adores people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and lights up the room with his gentle, playful spirit. Despite her rough start, her heart is full of love to give.

His name, Zima, has a special meaning—it’s the Czech word for “winter.” Named by a kind Czech family who first spotted her, Zima’s name is a tribute to her resilience and the snowy night she was saved.

Now, Zima is in need of a forever home. She deserves a warm bed, loving arms, and a family to call her own. Could you be the one to give Zima the care and love she’s been waiting for?

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet girl, don’t wait—Zima is waiting for someone like you to write the next chapter of her story. ❤️

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
