Meet Oates, a sleek and stunning house panther who is ready to find her forever home.
Despite her less-than-ideal past, Oates is a wonderful companion. This sleek and stunning house panther, who came to AHSEM after being rescued from a long confinement in a basement, has a spirit that shines brightly. While she arrived with another cat, Hall, Oates has shown a preference for being the star of the show, indicating she would thrive as your one and only pet.
During her time in foster care, Oates has kept to herself, embracing her independent nature. She is a sweet soul who values her personal space, making her the perfect match for someone who appreciates a pet with a bit of mystery and independence. Her discerning palate favors wet food with gravy, and she’s not one to settle for less.
Building a bond with Oates requires patience and understanding, but those who take the time to get to know her will find that she is truly worth the wait. If you're looking for a unique, self-sufficient golden-eyed beauty to share your home, Oates might just be your purrfect match!
Oates is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
