My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The adoption fee listed above is partially sponsored by a generous donor so her adoption fee is $370+ tax!

Sasha is as sweet as they come. This beautiful, well-mannered 4-year-old girl has worked so hard with her trainer and has become an absolute leash-walking champ! She’s fully muzzle-conditioned and happy to wear it!

Sasha has never shown any people aggression, but she does have a strong prey drive—so she’ll need to wear her muzzle anytime she’s outside for the safety of our small dog friends and any other small critters in your neighborhood. We’d love to see her future home have a tall privacy fence where she can safely enjoy regular off-leash time without her muzzle.

She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to her people—whether it’s relaxing after a long day or joining you on adventures. Sasha does well with other dogs with slow introductions.

This sweet girl is gentle with her toys, easy to bathe, and full of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-trained companion who’s ready for her next chapter, Sasha is your girl!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
